Before you come

Plan your visit

Opens Saturday, November 21

Bring boots and a warm coat. We supply the saws, the twine, the shaking and the baling, and someone to help you get the tree on the car. Allow an hour or two at a farm if the kids are coming, because the wagon ride and the fire pit are half the reason to be there. At the metro lots you can be in and out in fifteen minutes.

Quick answers

What is the advantage of the baling?

Baling makes the tree far easier to transport and get through doorways. Leave the netting on until the tree is in the stand and standing the way you want it, then simply cut the netting off.

Farm or tree lot?

A farm is the afternoon: cut your own, wagon rides, Santa weekends, an hour and change north of Minneapolis. A lot is the errand: fresh-cut trees, most of them off those same fields, five minutes from home, free fresh cut at every one.
