Norway spruce is the most widespread, fastest-growing, largest, and most disease-resistant spruce in the northern hemisphere. It develops strong, graceful branches that can endure winds up to 100 mph, and foliage on the larger branches hangs down in a weeping appearance on mature trees.

It’s an ideal windbreak and privacy tree. Mature trees produce cones 4-8 inches long that hang from the branch tips. This is a very adaptable spruce that tolerates soils from sand to clay and is affected by few diseases or insects, a safe choice when selecting evergreens for a landscape.
