Pyramidal arborvitae is a good option for planting under power lines. It prefers average moist soil and shouldn’t be allowed to dry out; a mulch ring around the root zone helps it through winter. It’s generally a higher-maintenance tree that needs pruning and removal of winter dieback, but it’s disease tolerant with a dense, upright growing pattern. Good as a specimen tree or property screen.
