Christmas Tree Lot at Louisiana Oaks Park, St. Louis Park

Our St. Louis Park lot sits at Louisiana Oaks Park and has been run by the O’Rielly family since the early 1990s. John O’Rielly and his crew are the friendly faces you’ll recognize the moment you step onto the lot, in the warmest weather and the coldest alike. John’s usually joined by his wife and their two kids, whether it’s a mild Saturday or the snowiest night of the season.

The lot carries seven species (Balsam, Fraser, and Canaan fir, a limited run of Korean fir, spruce, white pine, and Scotch pine), plus wreaths from 24 to 60 inches, garland, swags, spruce tips, and porch pots. Every tree comes with a free fresh cut, and we’ll bale it for easier transport and provide tie twine for the ride home.

Buy a tree here and bring your receipt to Park Tavern, a few blocks away at 3401 Louisiana Ave S, for a free pitcher of domestic beer or pop.

Santa visits

Santa stops by on select dates each season, typically the Thanksgiving weekend and a couple of weekends in December, 11:30am-3:30pm; see Hours & Events for exact dates.

Good to know

• We proudly partner with Boy Scout Troop #282.
• Staff can help load your tree, bale it, and provide tie twine.
• We accept cash, checks, or credit card.
• The lot opens with extended hours in the days before Thanksgiving, then closes on Thanksgiving Day itself before settling into regular season hours.

Tree pricing

Last season ran from about $36 for a 5 to 6 foot White Pine up to $255 for a 12 foot Fraser fir, with Balsam and Canaan fir between the two. Sizes go to 12 feet on the lot, and the price is on the tag before you commit to anything.
